The Algorithm Method is a new Birth Control System Zarbod invented. Music Styx – Mr Roboto What? OK. If you don’t comprehend this one I’ll explain it. They rhythm method is a low tech way to prevent babies. So the “Algorithm method” sounds similar but…is different. An algorithm is a step by step method to do something. In artificial intelligence stuff, I use an algorithm which uses a gradient descent approach. It’s basically has an equation rewrite itself until it guesses the right answer. Mine uses hyperbolic tangents but there are other methods. Anyway speaking to girls about this stuff usually turns them off except for my friend “Math Girl.” What else. Oh, I’d like to make fembots who are smart enough to pass a Turing test. A Turing test is where a mortal speaks on the phone to another mortal and a computer. If he can’t tell which one the personal was then it passes. So that would be nice for a fembot. CGI boids are Personal Generated Imagery Boids. A boid is an independent character which I use to simulate a mortal or animal. A group of boids can be monitored with custom designed metrics to see how they collectively behave. This is related to things like collective intelligence or emergent behavior. Any questions?

Choosing a Birth Control Method: Rhythm Method

What is the rhythm method?

When you use the rhythm method, you track when you are “fertile” or most likely to get pregnant. If you refrain having unprotected sex while you are fertile, you are less likely to get pregnant. Some people call this method “fertility awareness” or “natural family planning.”

How effective is the rhythm method?

If always used correctly, 3-5 out of 100 women who use these methods will get pregnant apiece year. If not always used correctly, 25 out of 100 women who use these methods will get pregnant apiece year. The rhythm method works ideal for women with regular periods.

How does it work?

You can use the rhythm method by keeping sperm out of your vagina on the days you are fertile. You are most fertile around the day your ovary releases an egg.

There are several ways to predict when you are likely to ovulate (release an egg). Your body changes in small ways around this time. If you track one or more of these changes, you can get an intent of when you are fertile. Tracking several of these together is best:

Temperature Method — Take your temperature in the morning apiece day before you get out of bed. Your temperature rises by about 0.4°F around the time you release an egg.

Cervical Mucus Method — The amount and texture of cervical mucus changes around the time your ovary releases an egg. Each day, check the changes in your cervical mucus. You can figure out when you ovulate based on these changes.

Calendar Method — Chart your cycles on a calendar. Keep track of your fertile days.
When you are fertile, you have two options to prevent pregnancy:

Do not have vaginal sex
Use another form of birth control

If you have unprotected sex on a day that you might be fertile, you should take emergency contraception as soon as doable within five days.

What are the benefits of using the rhythm method?

Fertility awareness methods are free or involve a small cost for tracking materials.
Once you know how to use them, these methods are always available.
If you decide you want to become pregnant, you can use the rhythm method to determine the days you are most likely to become pregnant.

What are the downsides of using the rhythm method?

The rhythm method does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
You must be aware of your cycle and fertile days apiece time you have sex.
Fertility awareness methods are less effective at preventing pregnancy than some other birth control methods.

Some women don’t have regular cycles. The rhythm method might not work for these women.
Both partners must concur to use this method. They have to concur to desist from vaginal sex or use a different method during fertile days.

There are many different reasons that couples select to learn Natural Family Planning — some like its high effectiveness rate, others appreciate that it is innocuous and healthy for the woman, and still others are glad to find a method of spacing births that fits with their religious beliefs. Couples select to practice Natural Family Planning for a variety of reasons. Important to many people is the issue of morality. The services of the League are open to all regardless of religious affiliation or conviction, but that doesnt mean that we instruct NFP without moral and religious convictions. First, we believe that God is the Author of nature; He is the one who place together in the marriage act what we call “making love” and “making babies.” It is God who in His providence has granted us to learn in the late 20th century about womans alternating fertility and infertility — and about Natural Family Planning — at the same time that other medical advances greatly increased the population survival rate. NFP grants couples to prudently regulate births without recourse to unnatural, immoral methods of birth control that interfere with the way God designed our fertility. As extraordinary as this statement might seem, throughout history natural methods have never been less effective than the unnatural, non-surgical methods. (Moral methods might not be as convenient, and they do require self-control, but that is a wonderful and rewarding virtue to acquire, as many NFP couples will attest.) In the 1930s the Ogino-Knaus Rhythm Method of NFP was as effective as the most effective “new” contraceptive barrier methods. In the 1960s, when the Pill launched the Sexual Revolution, the Sympto-Thermal Method of NFP (as taught by CCL today) was as effective as the Pill. Religious and moral convictions guide anyones decisions about sexual behavior. We believe that when people are fully informed about the advantages of NFP they will see that this method ideal concurs with their convictions as well as their practical desires for happier marriages and healthier lives. NFP does not mean “Not for Protestants.” You dont have to be Catholic to have strong convictions that it is wrong to use unnatural methods of birth control. “Such ‘providentialists’ should at least learn the rules for ecological breastfeeding, God’s own way of spacing babies.” For a superior understanding of the moral issue of birth control and to find out the true position of the Catholic Church on this matter, please see Church Teachings on NFP. and especially the full text of Pope Paul VI’s encyclical letter Humanae Vitae (On Human Life).However, while they often learn NFP for a single reason, most couples are happily surprised to find that there are other advantages to using NFP that they never suspected. Weve compiled here the various reasons couples have told us theyre glad to have found NFP. Natural Family Planning is fertility awareness, the knowledge of a couple’s fertility. It is a means of reading a woman’s signs of fertility and infertility. The Couple to Couple League instructs three basic signs of fertility — temperature, mucus and cervix — and how to apply this knowledge through the Sympto-Thermal Method (STM) of NFP, which can be used both to achieve and to refrain or postpone pregnancy. With the Couple to Couple League, the art of Natural Family Planning goes beyond the method as we instruct NFP within the moral constructs of the Magesterium of the Catholic Church, with an emphasis on the teachings of Pope John Paul II and the Theology of the Body. Couples learn of God’s vision and plan for marriage and family, and how to live out their sexuality while upholding and respecting the dignity of apiece other and their union. A married couple’s virtuous application of their fertility awareness knowledge, either to try to achieve a pregnancy or to postpone a pregnancy, is called responsible parenthood. The Natural Family Planning also includes the return of fertility after childbirth. CCL promotes and encourages exclusive and continued breastfeeding as ideal for babies, couples, and families and provides information and instruction on how these practices can impact the return of fertility and be a part of responsible parenthood. Finally, CCL helps couples complete their Natural Family Planning journey with instruction on navigating the changing fertility position of the premenopause years.
